About DEIB

Our office emerged from People and Culture in the summer of 2020 under the leadership of Assistant Vice Chancellor Eugene Whitlock. DEIB works in collaboration with the Division of Equity and Inclusion on the Becoming an Anti-Racist Institution Task Force. Our department has three primary roles on campus:

  • Foster engagement and development for staff employees
  • Provide the data tools for organizations to support their Affirmative Action/ EEO goals
  • Host experiences to increase racial literacy and cultural fluency
